Raya Tours, an authorized government licensed tour and travel agency, is specialized in providing tour and travel service s to individuals, series groups and international volunteers. We are a team to organize tour and travel services in Nepal since 1990. The team members are proprietors of travel agents, trekking agents, authorized tourist guide, lecturer of Tourism and travel study, tourist restaurants, handicrafts and Non-government organizations.
Raya Tours has a primary goal to serve its guests with personalized and customized services with wonderful traveling opportunities and culturally and naturally enriching adventures. It provides travel arrangements with reliable, friendly and experienced staff, all within traveler’s budgetary means.
Raya Tours also promotes sustainable and eco-tourism in Nepal and enjoys supporting different charities in the sectors of tourism, environment, education, health, and social work.
At present, Raya Tours is inbound tour and travel operator for Habitat for Humanity International Nepal (HFHI-Nepal) since 2007, Scheer Memorial Hospital since 2004, Human Development and Community Service (HDCS) since 2008, Service Civil International (SCI) since 2006, Research Center for Educational Innovation and Development (CERID) since 2006, The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) since 2004, and many other volunteer and community service organizations. We are committed not only to provide quality services but also for the success of their programs. Moreover, we are handling different individual guests and series groups from China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Austria, England, Netherlands and many more. We had worked together with Marathon tours, USA ().
In addition, we have successfully provided tour and travel services to several national and international special events and meetings, to name some, Canadian Architect’s Legacy Trip – 2006, Kathmandu Fun Run 2006, Toyota International Marathon 2005, 21st IFATCA Asia Pacific Regional Meeting, 2005; International Symposium on Landslide Hazards, 2005, etc. In all those events, we worked not only as a responsible tour and travel service provider but also as a team member for the success of the events.
We were visiting Nepal as part of a Habitat for Humanity build and Raya Tours organised a number of excursions for us both during and after the build. These included the Durbar Sq Kathmandu, Swayambhu (monkey temple), Kailashnath Mahadev Statue, Bhaktapur, trek to Namo Buddha, Panauti, cable car up Chandragiri Mountains, flight to see Everest, Pasupathi Nath and Bouddhanath. Our guide was really informative and gave us lots on insight into real life in Nepal. The trips were always in good transport with water provided, and meals were booked at excellent locations. This is my second trip to Kathmandu and using Raya Tours really enhanced the experience.
Raya Tours was recommended to me by Habitat for Humanity Nepal. They arranged a tour for some of our Global Village Team following our build both in Nepal and Bhutan. Easy to work with as we planned the tour and excellent service was provided during the tour. Our tour included an overnight trek and when someone sprained their ankle a couple days before the tour, Raya Tours made arrangements to get him to the village by 4 wheel drive vehicle so he could still enjoy the overnight, sunset, and sunrise with everyone else. They were also really amazing helping us handle another medical emergency. When leaving Bhutan, our flight back to Nepal was cancelled due to snow. Raya Tours was in constant contact with us and accommodated our change in plans with ease. In so many ways, they went above and beyond to take great care of us and provide us with an amazing experience!
What a wonderful time. Excellent guides and porters. Raya planned us the perfect taste of hiking through the Annapurna area. They booked everything for us and even had a massage booked for our tired bodies after the hike and it felt amazing. Perfect job by the team I was also with a habitat for humanity team and they did a wonderful day trip in ktm. Highly recommended.
Raya Tours set up a fun-filled, 4-day 3-night excursion to Chitwan National Park for a group of 15 of us who had worked on a Habitat for Humanity build outside of Pokhara. It included ox-cart rides, elephant safari, local cultural events and more. Raya then set up a comprehensive package for my wife and me that included a 120 mile trip to Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buhhdha, flights back to Kathmandu, guided tours of the 7 World Heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley, and a fantastic 9-day trek through the "hills" around the Kathmandu Valley. Raya's owner joined our group in Chitwan, maintained phone contact with our guides throughout our journeys, and met with us numerous times for constant feedback. The detailed planning needed some adjustments when my wife twisted her ankle, and Raya accommodated. This is a wonderful company with a very personal touch.

We successfully completed the trek to Everest Base Camp. Raya Tours did an excellent job in coordinating the trek in spite of many changing requests and requirements. Our guide, Hridaya, was excellent and did his very best to meet our requests and to plan ahead. I would highly recommend them in organizing a trek for others.
This is my second time using Raya Tours for taking a team up to Everest Base Camp (EBC). They are detailed in explaining the trek and what to expect. The guides I've had speak pretty good english and understand what you say. The KEY distinguisher between Raya Tours and other companies is the connection they have with the airlines taking groups to Lukla. People will wait DAYS to get flights up or return. Raya will book the first flight out of the day to assure you start and return on time. They also include a massage when you return to Kathmandu which is a very nice benefit. Recommend this company highly.
